Auf Grundlage von Recherchen im Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris [MNHN] werden in dieser Abhandlung Anmerkungen zur Nomenklatur und Taxonomie der Gattung Antheraea Hübner, 1819 ("1816") (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) gemacht. Im Mittelpunkt der Betrachtung stehen die von Bouvier in den Jahren 1928 sowie 1936 vorgenommenen Typendesignationen zu nachfolgend aufgeführten Taxa: Antheraea paphia javanensis Bouvier, 1928; Antheraea frithi tonkinensis Bouvier, 1936; Antheraea frithi var. javanensis Bouvier, 1928 & Antheraea paphia var. subcaeca Bouvier, 1928. Zur Sicherung der Stabilität bei der Namensgebung gemäß den Vorgaben des Codes (ICZN 1985) wurden für A. frithi javanensis sowie A. frithi tonkinensis nachträglich die weibliche Lectotypen designiert. |
| Abstract
The contribution deals with nomenclatural acts and taxonomic remarks on taxa of the genus Antheraea Hübner, 1819 ("1816") (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae), based on research in Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris [MNHN]. The type designations done by Bouvier 1928 and 1936 were checked for the taxa: Antheraea paphia javanensis Bouvier, 1928; Antheraea frithi tonkinensis Bouvier, 1936; Antheraea frithi var. javanensis Bouvier, 1928 & Antheraea paphia var. subcaeca Bouvier, 1928. For A. frithi javanensis and A. frithi tonkinensis the female lectotypes were subsequently designated to promote nomenclatural stability according to the Code (ICZN 1985). |
