Zusammengestellt
von Ulrich Brosch (Hille) und Dr. Stefan Naumann (Berlin). Die Artenliste
basiert auf der Publikation von U. Brosch, S. Naumann, L.H. Paukstadt,
U. Paukstadt, I. Tcherniak & M. Beeke (1999): Anmerkungen zur Brahmaeiden-
und Saturniidenfauna (Lepidoptera: Bombycoidea) von Laos und Kambodscha.

(Nürnberg);
Supplement 6, Dezember 1999.
in Vorbereitung.

Supplement 6, Dezember 1999. So far for the fauna of Laos records
for twentyseven taxa belonging to the family Saturniidae and two species
of the family Brahmaeidae are published, most of them for the first time;
further records are in our hands already and will be added to the list
after publication. Our knowledge on the fauna of Cambodia still remains
poor. Aside of the six species of the family Saturniidae and one species
of the family Brahmaeidae cited in the publication mentioned above only
few more are known. Research is still in progress, the presented list will
be continued. The
references can be found at the
end of this page.
Notes on selected taxa and links
on figures of specimens are in preparation.

Anmerkungen
/ Notes
==> back 2) There exists a single record of S. insularis (Snellen van Vollenhoven, 1862) from Laos, Phontiou, mentioned to be collected by P. Sciama in 1962; the specimen in stored in MNHN Paris, it was dissected and determined safely as a true S. insularis. Due to the fact that this species regularly occurs on the Indonesian islands of Java, Krakatoa, and Sumatra, we believe that the Laotian specimen is mislabeled regarding the source locality (compare also Peigler & Naumann, 2003: 142). ==> back Weitere Anmerkungen in
